Menuchas Hanefesh Analytics (MHA) is a free site that helps families plan wedding costs. It is built so that we never need to know who you are. This page says what we keep, why, who helps us run the site, and how to delete everything.
What we never ask for
Your name, address or phone number. There are no ads and no tracking or advertising cookies. The only cookie keeps you logged in.
What we keep
Only what you enter or send:
- Your MHA number and PIN. The PIN is stored scrambled, so no one can read it, not even us.
- Each wedding's details: side, city, hall, month, number of children and the ages of children at home, and an optional nickname.
- Your budgets, budget plan and expenses: amounts, stores, dates, payment status and notes.
- Receipt photos and PDFs you upload or send on WhatsApp. They are kept privately so you can look at them again. Please cover names, addresses and card numbers before taking the photo.
- A recovery email, only if you add one, stored scrambled so it cannot be read back. It is used only to send you a code to reset your PIN.
- Your WhatsApp number, only if you connect WhatsApp, so we know which family a message is from. It is never shown to other families or used in any report or price list. The text of your messages and voice notes is not kept; only the expenses saved from them.
- Links and reviews you share in Good finds.
- A scrambled form of your internet connection's address, for a short time, to stop people guessing PINs.
How it is used
To show you your own budget, reports and predictions. Your costs are also added, without your MHA number, into numbers from many families together: typical prices, suggested budgets, Save money and Lowest cost. A number only shows once enough families are counted that no one family's costs can be worked out. Other families never see your wedding. The person who runs MHA can see every wedding's items and receipts, to keep the site working and the numbers correct, but has no way of knowing which family is which. That is why we ask you to cover names and card numbers before photographing a receipt.
Who helps us run the site
These companies store or process data for us, only to provide their service. None of them may sell it or use it for advertising.
- Supabase: the database and receipt files (United States).
- Vercel: the website itself (United States).
- Anthropic (Claude): reads receipts, WhatsApp messages and voice note text to turn them into expenses.
- OpenAI: turns WhatsApp voice notes into text.
- Resend: sends the recovery code email.
- Meta (WhatsApp): carries your WhatsApp messages, only if you use WhatsApp.
We never sell your data
We do not sell, rent or trade any data, and we do not show ads.
Deleting everything
Log in, open Settings and tap "Delete my account". This deletes at once your MHA number, every wedding, every expense, every receipt, your budget plan, your recovery email, your WhatsApp connection and the links and reviews you shared. Your costs then stop counting in the numbers from many families. Copies in our backups are erased within 7 days. If you forgot your PIN and have no recovery email, we cannot tell which account is yours, so it cannot be deleted for you; it stays anonymous.
Children
MHA is for parents planning a wedding. It is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new date.
